Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh – Trusting Google Maps while returning from a wedding took the lives of three people. All three died when a car moving at high speed on an incomplete bridge suddenly fell into the river. This tragic incident happened in Bareilly district on Saturday night.

Google Maps showed the wrong way

The accident happened when the victims were returning after attending a wedding in Bareilly. They tried to take a shortcut through Google Maps, but the maps put them in trouble by taking them to an incomplete bridge.

According to the information, the car was moving at a speed of 60-80 km/h. Due to fog, the sudden end of the road was not known, and there was no time to apply the brake. The car fell 25 feet below the bridge into the river, killing all three on the spot.

Local people discovered the mangled car

On Sunday morning, local people saw the damaged car near the Ramganga river and informed the police. The police reached the spot and took out the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.

After the accident, the family members of the deceased and the local people made serious allegations against the construction department and the concerned officials. They said that leaving the incomplete bridge open and not putting any barricade or warning sign there is gross negligence.
