Pune: Woman loses life in dumper accident near Bhumkar Nagar, Narhe Gaon
Pune, May 25, 2024: A woman was killed today when a dumper hit her near Bhumkar Nagar in Narhe Gaon. The accident happened on the service road near the Bhumkar Bridge.
The deceased has been identified as Sangita Thembe. She was riding her two-wheeler when she was hit by a dumper driving from Swaminarayan Mandir to Narhe Gaon Bhumkar Bridge. The impact was severe, and Thembe died on the spot.
The accident has sparked concerns about road safety and traffic management in the area. Eyewitnesses reported that the service road where the accident occurred is frequently used by large vehicles, making it dangerous for two-wheeler riders and pedestrians.
An investigation is underway to determine the specific circumstances that led to the incident.
