Second ATM robbery in Jalna in ten days, cash worth lakhs stolen
Thieves used gas cutter to break open an ATM at Jalna and steal cash worth lakhs.
Thieves have struck again in Jalna and broken an SBI ATM next to the SBI Bank at Trimurti Chowk in the industrial estate area. Cash was looted by breaking the ATM with the help of a gas cutter.
Interestingly, 10 days ago, there was another incident where thieves broke into an SBI ATM at Mahaveer Chowk in Jalna city and looted cash worth Rs. 24.51 lakh.
While this incident is still fresh, the breaking of SBI ATM in the industrial estate has posed a big challenge for the police. Thieves broke this ATM at Trimurti Chowk 3 years ago also. Investigation into that incident has not yielded anything yet, but the same incident happened again on Sunday, causing concern in the locality.
Police are investigating the theft and the exact amount of money taken will be ascertained after the investigation with bank employees.
