Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde promises to make Mumbai-Goa highway pothole free before Ganeshotsav
August 27, 2024: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently conducted an inspection of the Mumbai-Goa highway and has promised to make it pothole free before Ganehsotsav.
The CM said the government will take all measures so that those going to Konkan for Ganeshotsav do not suffer from potholes on the roads. He inspected 155 km of ongoing road works at Palaspe, Gadab, Kolad, Mangaon, Lonere Phata, Prani Kashedi Bogda amidst heavy rain.

Shinde directed officials to use innovative technology for speedy completion of pothole filling work before the festival. It was reported that M60 RFC and Leo Polymer Method, Rapidex hardner M60 Method, DLC Method and Bricks Cast M60 Method will be used to fill potholes on war footing.
The CM also directed authorities to file a case of culpable homicide against the old contractors who ran away after undertaking substandard and shoddy work.
Many local representatives and administrative officials were present during this inspection.
