Heavy rains in the last few days have resulted in considerable improvement in water stock in various dams in the Mula Mutha basin in Pune district.

Almost all dams, except Khadakwasla have reported filling upwards of 80% capacity. Khadakwasla is a small dam in the chain of four dams namely, Panshet, Warasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla and only acts as a buffer between downstream Mutha river and the four-dam project, hence its water stock level varies everyday depending on the release of water into the Mutha river.
