Pune: PMRDA Commissioner Rahul Mahiwal Given Additional Charge of PCMC
Pune: The state government has given Rahul Mahiwal, Commissioner, Pune Metropolitan Development Authority (PMRDA), the additional charge of the Commissioner of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) as the current PCMC Commissioner, Shekhar Singh, will be on leave until June 28, 2024.
Rahul Mahiwal is a 2005 batch IAS officer and prior to being posted as the PMRDA Commissioner, Mahiwal served as the Commissioner for Women and Child Welfare. He also served as the District Collector of Amravati in 2011. Additionally, he has been on central deputation in Bihar.
As Mahiwal takes over the dual charge, the administration expects a seamless transition and continued efficient governance in both the PMRDA and PCMC.
