Pune: MLA Siddharth Shirole Urges People Not to Take U-Turn on Range Hills Road, Asks Traffic Police to Block the Illegal U-Turn
Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole has urged Pune residents to not take illegal U-turns on Range Hills Road, citing the significant risks such actions pose to road safety.
During an unannounced visit to the ABIL junction on Pune University Road, Shirole first hand saw many drivers coming from the university side, taking a right turn towards Range Hills road and then making an illegal U-turns to travel towards Shivajinagar, on the wrong side. He emphasized that this not only violates traffic regulations but also endangers drivers, commuters, and those heading towards University Road.
Shirole sought citizen cooperation in maintaining road safety, urging everyone to avoid dangerous shortcuts.
He also mentioned that he has communicated with the Pune City Traffic Police, who have assured him that they will extend the length of the road divider towards Range Hills Road to make such U-turns impossible. “Citizen safety and convenience is our priority, but we must all work together, ensure we abide by the rules and keep the roads safer for everybody,” Shirole stated.
