Central Railway Announces Festival Trains from Pune to Facilitate Diwali and Chhath Travel

In anticipation of the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, Central Railway has announced a series of special trains to meet the high demand for travel during this festive season. These special services will connect Pune to various major destinations, offering passengers a convenient travel option during the holidays.

Pune-Gorakhpur Superfast Weekly Special (01431/01432)

Central Railway will operate four trips between Pune and Gorakhpur. These special services are scheduled as follows:

  • Train 01431 will depart from Pune at 16:15 hrs on October 25, 2024, and November 1, 2024 (Friday), arriving in Gorakhpur at 20:40 hrs the next day.
  • Train 01432 will leave Gorakhpur at 23:25 hrs on October 26, 2024, and November 2, 2024 (Saturday), reaching Pune at 06:25 hrs on the third day.

This service includes halts at major stations such as Daund, Khandwa, Bhopal, Jhansi, and more.

Pune-Danapur Superfast Daily Special (01481/01482)

A total of 42 trips are planned between Pune and Danapur during the festive period:

  • Train 01481 will depart from Pune daily at 19:55 hrs from October 22, 2024, to November 11, 2024, arriving at Danapur at 04:30 hrs on the third day.
  • Train 01482 will run daily from Danapur at 06:30 hrs from October 24, 2024, to November 13, 2024, reaching Pune by 17:35 hrs the following day.

These daily services will cover several prominent stations, ensuring convenient travel options for passengers traveling during the festival rush.

Pune-Nagpur AC Superfast Bi-Weekly Special (01201/01202)

In addition to the above services, Central Railway will operate 14 trips between Pune and Nagpur:

  • Train 01201 will depart from Nagpur at 19:40 hrs on Mondays and Thursdays between October 21, 2024, and November 11, 2024, reaching Pune at 11:25 hrs the next day.
  • Train 01202 will leave Pune at 15:50 hrs on Tuesdays and Fridays from October 22, 2024, to November 12, 2024, and arrive in Nagpur at 06:30 hrs the next day.

This bi-weekly service will cater to travelers commuting between Nagpur and Pune, with halts at key stations like Wardha, Akola, and Ahmednagar.

Booking and Coach Composition

Bookings for these special trains have opened. Passengers can book tickets through all computerized reservation centers and the official IRCTC website. The coach composition includes various classes such as AC 3-Tier, Sleeper, and General, providing options to meet different budget requirements.

These festival special trains are expected to alleviate the rush, providing passengers with comfortable and timely travel options for the Diwali and Chhath festivals.
