Pune: Major Traffic Changes Due to Ghorpadi Railway Flyover Work
Pune, September 12, 2024: In response to the ongoing construction of the Ghorpadi railway flyover, the Pune Traffic Police have announced significant changes to the traffic flow in the area. Motorists are advised to follow the new diversions and use alternative routes where possible.
Summary of Traffic Changes:
- Vehicles traveling from War Memorial (Ghorpadi) to Mundhwa:
- Redirected via Kendriya Vidyalaya Chowk to Ghorpadi Police Chowki.
- Access from Mundhwa and Ghorpadi railway bridge to War Memorial:
- Allowed for two-wheelers, rickshaws, and cars.
- Goods vehicles, heavy trucks, and buses are prohibited from using this route.
- Heavy vehicles heading towards Ghorpadi War Memorial:
- Must take Solapur Road via:
- Railway Flyover (Solapur Railway),
- BT Kavade Road, and
- Sopanbaug Chowk.
- Must take Solapur Road via:
Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende has requested the public to adhere to these new traffic arrangements. Citizens are encouraged to share their feedback or complaints in writing with the Pune Traffic Police at the Yerawada Post Office, Jail Road.
