Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has introduced the Fast-Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) to expedite immigration procedures for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders. This initiative, part of a broader rollout across major Indian airports, aims to provide a seamless and secure travel experience.

Enrollment Process and Benefits

To participate in FTI-TTP, travelers must register online through the official portal

The registration process includes submitting personal details, uploading necessary documents, and verifying contact information via mobile and email. Once registered, applicants can schedule an appointment for biometric enrollment, which can be completed at designated international airports or Foreigners Regional Registration Offices (FRROs) across India.

Membership in the program is valid for five years or until the passport’s expiry, whichever comes first. Upon successful enrollment, travelers can utilize dedicated e-gates at participating airports. By scanning their boarding pass and passport, followed by biometric authentication, passengers can swiftly complete immigration procedures without manual intervention.

Expansion and Implementation

Initially launched at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi in June 2024, FTI-TTP has expanded to include airports in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the program at these additional locations on January 16, 2025, marking a significant step toward enhancing international travel infrastructure in India.

How to Enroll

Interested travelers can begin the enrollment process by visiting the official FTI-TTP portal

The website provides detailed instructions on application requirements, document specifications, and scheduling biometric appointments. For further assistance, applicants can contact the support helpdesk via email at india.ftittp-boi@mha.gov.in.
