Pune: PCMC conducts anti-encroachment drive in Triveninagar
The encroachments in Triveninagar Main Square were recently removed under the ‘F’ Zonal Office of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. This action was undertaken to complete the missing link of Spine Road at Triveninagar.
It was noted that unauthorized constructions in Triveninagar Main Square were obstructing traffic heading towards Spine Road, Talwade, and Bhakti Shakti Chowk. Consequently, eviction action was taken against eight structures covering an area of approximately 20,000 square feet that were blocking the connecting road to Spine Road. This included a three-storey building in the main square. The road will now be widened to create a new road, which will facilitate smoother traffic flow.
Deputy Commissioner Manoj Lonkar, Zonal Officer Sitaram Bahure, Deputy Engineer Abhiman Bhosale, Police Inspector of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Traffic Department Ashok Babar, Beat Inspector, and the encroachment action team of the ‘F’ Zonal Office were present during the operation.
Pimpri Chinchwad is a leading clean and beautiful city in the state of Maharashtra and is rapidly progressing. The city’s transportation system must remain smooth. Therefore, in the public interest, it is essential that all major roads in the city remain free of obstacles. If there are any obstructions caused by unauthorized constructions on or along the city’s major roads, eviction action will be taken, stated Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil.
