A man who went to see off his son in the Vande Bharat Express at Kanpur Central Station had to pay a hefty fine because he could not get off the train on time. Due to the automatic doors of the train closing, he had to travel with his son in the train and had to make an unwanted journey to Delhi.

What happened?

This incident happened with Ramvilas Yadav, who boarded the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express coach C-6 to seat his son. But by the time he tried to get off, the doors of the train closed automatically. He did not have a ticket for the journey, so he was considered a ticketless traveller.

Had to pay a hefty fine

During the journey, Ramvilas Yadav was fined Rs 2,870 by the ticket checking team. The fare of the Vande Bharat train from Kanpur to New Delhi is Rs 1,830. In addition, a fine of Rs 1,039 was added for travelling without a ticket.

Railways issued new advice

After this incident, the Indian Railways has issued a new advisory. Railways said that sensor doors have been installed in Vande Bharat trains for safety, which close before the train starts. Therefore, only those passengers should board the train who have travel plans. Those who have come to drop off passengers should remain on the platform.

This incident is a lesson for people to be cautious in modern trains and not enter the train if there is no need to travel.
