CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025: Date Sheets Released, Exams Begin February 15
New Delhi, 21 November 2024 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for Class 10th and 12th board exams 2025. The exams will begin from February 15. The Class 10 exams will begin with the English paper and the Class 12 exams will begin with the Entrepreneurship paper.

- Click ‘Examination Circulars’ Tab

- Click the first result dated 20/11/2024 and view and download the date sheet

Around 44 lakh students will appear for the board exams this year. CBSE has prepared the exam schedule by avoiding clashes in over 40,000 subject combinations, so that no student has exams on the same day.
Exam Timings
The exams will be conducted primarily in the morning. Most papers will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, while some papers will run till 1:30 pm.
Early Announcement of Date Sheet
For the first time, CBSE has released the date sheet 86 days before the exams, giving students more time to prepare. Compared to last year, this time the date sheet has been released 23 days earlier, which shows the board’s commitment to transparency and convenience of students.
Focus on Entrance Exams
The board has planned to end the board exams before the dates of entrance exams of class 12th students keeping in mind the dates.
Improvement in Exam Monitoring
To ensure smooth and fair conduct of examinations, CBSE has implemented a strict CCTV policy. Under this, schools will have to install high-resolution cameras, which will monitor the activities of students and exam material.
Last Year’s Exam Dates
In 2024, class 12th exams were held from February 15 to April 2 and class 10th exams were held from February 15 to March 13.
The board exams 2025 are a crucial academic milestone for lakhs of students, and CBSE has taken effective steps for their preparation and fair examination conduct.
