Pune: Traffic changes at Golibar Maidan Chowk, new rules implemented from tomorrow
To solve the persistent traffic problem at Golibar Maidan Chowk on Pune-Solapur Road, changes will be made in the traffic on an experimental basis from tomorrow (27th November). Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Traffic Department, Amol Jhende said that with this change, an attempt will be made to reduce the problem of traffic jam.
Due to the narrow road of Golibar Maidan Chowk, there is often a problem of jam here. To solve this, vehicles coming from Solapur Road and Poolgate, which turn left from the Chowk and go towards the Controller of Defence Accounts Office (CDO) Chowk, will no longer be allowed to go on this route.
Vehicles going towards CDO Office Chowk have been advised to go via Solapur Bazaar, Napier Road and Khatav Bungalow Road. The traffic police has appealed to the drivers to use these alternative routes. This change will be implemented on an experimental basis, and further decision will be taken based on its results.
