Pune, November 27, 2024: The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has strictly enforced the helmet law and taken action against about 10 thousand two-wheeler drivers from April 2024 to October 2024. A fine of Rs 44 lakh 57 thousand was collected in this campaign. This action was taken by the ‘Air Velocity Team’ of the RTO between April 1 and October 31, 2024.

For the last few days, helmets have been made compulsory for all two-wheeler drivers in government offices. Earlier, it was made mandatory for only government employees to wear helmets. After this step, the discussion about helmets has started again in Pune.
