In a heart-wrenching incident in Pune’s Swargate area, a pet dog was fatally run over by a luxury car driven by a lawyer.
The shocking act was captured on video, showing the dog being crushed and struggling to cross the road before collapsing. The dog, lying in the sun to stay warm, suffered devastating injuries, including a crushed body and a broken spine, as confirmed by the post-mortem report. The animal succumbed to its injuries within two minutes.
Adding to the outrage, the driver allegedly attempted to bribe the dog’s owner to avoid legal action. However, Padmini Peter Stump from the Mission Possible Foundation stood firm and filed an FIR at Swargate Police Station, ensuring that justice is pursued.
This incident underscores the importance of responsible driving and accountability for such cruel acts against animals.
