In preparation for the massive crowds expected on Mahaparinirvan Divas (December 6, 2024), Central Railway has announced temporary restrictions on platform ticket sales at several major stations across Mumbai, Pune, and other divisions. This measure is aimed at managing crowd congestion and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during this period.

The restriction on platform ticket sales will be effective from December 2 to December 9, 2024. It applies to stations in the following divisions:

Pune Division:

  • Pune

Nagpur Division:

Bhusawal Division:

  • Badnera, Akola, Nandura, Murtijapur, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Pachora, Chalisgaon, Manmad, and Nasik

Exemptions

The restrictions will not apply to senior citizens and individuals with medical needs, ensuring essential travel is not hindered.
