Pune: Traffic Restrictions Announced on Laxmi Road for Pedestrian Day on December 11

Pune, December 07, 2024: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will observe “Pedestrian Day” on December 11, 2024. As part of the celebrations, Laxmi Road will be designated as a “Vehicle-Free Zone” between Nagarkar Talim Chowk and Umbrya Ganpati Chowk, as well as Umbrya Ganpati Chowk to Garud Ganpati Chowk, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The Vishrambaug Faraskhana Traffic Department has issued a notice restricting all vehicle entry on Laxmi Road during the specified hours, covering the stretch from Sevasadan Chowk to Umbrya Ganpati Chowk and Garud Ganpati Chowk. Real-time traffic adjustments may also be implemented as required.

Alternate Routes for Commuters:

  1. Traffic from Belbagh Chowk to Tilak Chowk via Laxmi Road will be diverted at Sevasadan Chowk, with vehicles redirected to Bajirao Road.
  2. Vehicles from Kumthekar Road to Laxmi Road will continue to Chitale Corner, turn left to Bajirao Road, and proceed to their destination.
  3. Traffic heading from Lokhande Talim Chowk to Kuthe Chowk will bypass Laxmi Road via Kelkar Road to Tilak Chowk.

Citizens are requested to adhere to the traffic diversions and cooperate with the authorities for a smooth and successful event, making Pedestrian Day a memorable occasion.
