Pune: Water Supply Disruption on 12th and 13th December for Maintenance Work
Pune residents are advised to brace for a water supply disruption on Thursday, December 12, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) conducts essential maintenance work across the city. The repair work includes electrical, pumping, and architectural maintenance, affecting water treatment plants and pumping stations in key areas.
Affected Areas
The water supply will be completely shut off in the following regions on December 12:
- Parvati HLR Tank Area: Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibvewadi, Mukundnagar, Maharshinagar, Gangadham, Chintamaninagar, Lake Town, Shivtejnagar, and nearby localities.
- Bhama Askhed Water Center Area: Lohgaon, Vimannagar, Vadgaon Sheri, Vishrantwadi, Phulenagar, Yerawada, Dhanori, and others.
- Lashkar Jalkendra Area: Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Syednagar, Haven Park, Gosavi Vasti, Kalepadal, Mundhwa, Malwadi, Koregaon Park, Satavwadi, Hadapsar, and areas along Solapur Road.
- Chandni Chowk Tank Area (Warje Treatment Plant): Bhugaon Road, Bavdhan, Bhusari Colony, Charathisilp Society, Pooja Park, Shantiban, and nearby areas.
- Gandhi Bhavan Tank Area (Warje Jalkendra): Kumbharwadi, Kakade City, Mahatma Society, Popular Colony, Warje Malwadi, and surroundings.
- Pancard Club GSR Tank Area: Baner, Balewadi, Chakankar Mala, Pancard Club Road, and nearby regions.
- SNDT (HLR) Area: Gokhalenagar, Oudh, Bopodi, Pune Vidyapith, Law College Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Prabhat Road, and prominent localities.
Water Cut-Off and Delays
The complete water shutdown on December 12 will be followed by delays and low water pressure in affected areas on Friday, December 13, especially during the morning hours. PMC Chief Engineer Nandkishor Jagtap has urged residents to store adequate water in advance and extend cooperation to ensure smooth execution of the maintenance work.
