Mumbai, December 11, 2024: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced an ambitious 100-day transformation plan aimed at fostering transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric governance. The multi-pronged strategy includes key initiatives to streamline administrative processes, bolster infrastructure, and engage citizens effectively.

Transparency and Real-Time Monitoring
At the heart of the plan is a commitment to transparency and improved e-governance. The government will enhance administrative efficiency through advanced portals and real-time monitoring systems designed to secure greater central funding and reduce financial burdens on the state.

War Rooms for Progress
To ensure the timely execution of major initiatives, the government will establish two dedicated war rooms: one for infrastructure projects and another for flagship programs. These units will focus on effective implementation and consistent oversight.

Grievance Redressal and Citizen-Friendly Reforms
Inspired by the Prime Minister’s Office grievance redressal system, Maharashtra will introduce a similar mechanism to promptly address citizen complaints. Additionally, government websites will be upgraded to become more user-friendly and compliant with the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

Accountability and Administrative Deadlines
With clearly defined timelines, the state government has outlined phases for achieving key reforms: state-centre coordination within 30 days, citizen-centric services within 60 days, administrative changes in 90 days, and technology integration within 120 days. Bureaucrats will be held accountable for meeting these objectives to ensure swift action and results.

Engaging Citizens and Empowering Retirees
The government plans to enhance public engagement through initiatives such as Janata Darbars and Lokshahi Din, encouraging direct interaction between citizens and officials. A committee of retired bureaucrats will also provide expert guidance to achieve e-governance goals.

Focus on Infrastructure and Welfare
Infrastructure and welfare schemes remain high on the priority list, with a dual focus on fast-tracking projects and addressing the welfare needs of citizens. This holistic approach aims to position Maharashtra as a model state for development and governance.

This 100-day plan underscores the Fadnavis administration’s commitment to efficiency, accountability, and citizen welfare, promising a transformative impact on Maharashtra’s governance landscape.
