Climb the Height of Mt. Everest in Pune at India’s First Everesting Challenge Scheduled at Sinhagad Fort from December 13-15; See Details
India’s inaugural Everesting Competition will take place at Sinhagad Fort from December 13 to December 15, 2024, jointly organized by the Maharashtra Tourism Department and Simple Steps Fitness. Participants will attempt to climb a total of 8,848 meters, matching the height of Mount Everest, by ascending Sinhagad Fort 16 times consecutively.
The competition offers two categories:
Full Everesting – 16 ascents.
Half Everesting – 8 ascents.
Participants can compete individually or as part of a team. For beginners, a Fun Run/Walk option is available, where participants will complete one ascent under the full moon on December 14, 2024.
Event Highlights
The competition will be held along the ghat road to Sinhagad, which will be closed to regular traffic during the event, except for emergency vehicles. Participants from across Maharashtra and other states are expected to join.
Participants will receive:
T-shirts and goodie bags from Simple Steps.
Route support, meals, and medical services throughout the event.
Medals for successful completion of the challenge.
The Patanjali Atmabodh Wellness Center will serve as the base camp and starting point. Health-focused workshops for participants will also be conducted at the center during the event.
