Pune/PCMC – A case has been filed after a legal hoarding authorized by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) collapsed onto a tempo during heavy rain and wind at Jaiganesh Empire Chowk on Spine Road in Moshi. Fortunately, no lives were lost, and only minor property damage was reported.

PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh stated that a legal hoarding measuring 20×40 feet with official permission at Jaiganesh Empire Chowk on Spine Road, Moshi, fell due to rain and wind. Singh also assured the public that immediate action had been taken, with Joint Commissioner Chandrakant Indalkar and Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Khot assigned to inspect the site and report their findings.

A case has been filed against the owner of Aryan Advertising, the hoarding’s license holder, and the structural engineer who certified the design and structure. Singh emphasized the importance of public safety and announced a meeting on Friday, May 17th, to discuss the safety of all hoardings throughout the city.

“To ensure the safety of all hoardings in the city, I have scheduled a meeting for Friday, May 17th.” “A structural audit of all hoardings is currently being conducted,” Singh said. He also stated that a survey of unauthorized hoardings has been launched throughout the city, with enforcement actions set to begin on Monday.

Singh reaffirmed PCMC’s commitment to public safety, saying, “Public safety remains our top priority, and we are committed to taking all necessary precautions to avoid similar incidents in the future.”

He emphasized PCMC’s proactive approach to addressing hoarding safety concerns, stating that over the last year, nearly 191 unauthorized hoardings have been demolished as part of their safety initiatives.
