Maharashtra, Dec 24, 2024: A mixed weather pattern has taken hold of Maharashtra, with a double crisis of intensified cold and potential rainfall looming over the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain in several districts, heightening concerns as winter intensifies.

Cold Intensifies After Brief Respite

After a brief ease in the cold wave, temperatures in Maharashtra have dropped significantly, with a chilling Monday marking the resurgence of winter. Overcast conditions were observed in some areas, signaling an upcoming shift in weather patterns. According to the IMD, the next few days are expected to bring light rain and thundershowers in isolated areas across the state, particularly on December 26 and 27.
