Pune: Power Supply Disruption in Shivajinagar, University Chowk and Senapati Bapat Road on Saturday Due to Metro Work
Pune, January 31, 2024: The construction of Pune Metro Line 3, connecting Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar, is progressing steadily. As part of this project, essential electrical work along the metro corridor is also being carried out at an accelerated pace.
In this regard, 132 KV underground cable work is necessary for the metro construction along Baner Road. Due to this, the power supply in areas such as Shivajinagar, Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk, Senapati Bapat Road and surrounding area will be disrupted on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
As a result, the power supply from the 132 KV Ganeshkhind Substation will be interrupted between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Citizens are requested to cooperate with this necessary work, as urged by Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited, the developer of Pune Metro Line 3.
About Pune Metro line 3:
The Pune Metro line III is a ~23 Km elevated Metro rail project connecting the IT hub of Hinjawadi to the Central business district of Shivajinagar. It is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project awarded by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) to a consortium consisting of Tata Group’s TRIL Urban Transport Private Limited (TUTPL) and Siemens Project Ventures GmbH. The Project would be developed & operated on Design, build, finance, operate & transfer (DBFOT) basis by a special purpose vehicle (SPV), Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL) for a Concession Period of 35 years including the construction period.
