Pune: Planned Power Supply Disruption in Shivajinagar, University Chowk and Senapati Bapat Road Canceled
Pune, February 01, 2025: The scheduled power outage in Shivajinagar, Deccan, and Ganeshkhind areas on February 1 has been postponed, bringing uninterrupted electricity supply for residents and businesses on Saturday.
The electricity outage was initially planned to facilitate essential work on Pune Metro and Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited’s (Mahapareshan) high-voltage power lines along the Shivajinagar to Hinjawadi route. As part of the project, the 220/132 KV Ganeshkhind and Chinchwad substations, along with the GKRS high-voltage substation in Kothrud, were to be temporarily shut down. This would have resulted in a power disruption from 8 am to 8 pm on Saturday.

“Residents and businesses can proceed with their usual activities without concern about power disruptions. Further updates regarding the rescheduling of the maintenance work will be communicated in due course”, MSEDCL stated in a press release.
