The cabin was tense as the situation appeared grim, with no immediate help available. However, one cabin crew member, whom Mahajan described as a “SUPERWOMAN,” stepped forward with unwavering calm and determination to take charge of the situation.
This unnamed crew member, supported by the rest of the cabin crew, acted quickly and decisively. She ensured the passenger’s neck remained stable while administering oxygen to help him regain consciousness. For nearly 30-40 minutes, she worked tirelessly, drawing on her training to manage the crisis mid-air. Her persistence eventually paid off when the passenger’s condition began to stabilize.
What made the incident even more touching was the emotional reaction of the crew member. After the passenger had recovered, Mahajan observed her in tears, likely overwhelmed by the pressure and relief of seeing the man’s life no longer in danger. Despite her extraordinary efforts, Mahajan noted that few passengers acknowledged or appreciated her heroics, a sentiment he found disappointing.
Mahajan made it a point to personally thank the crew member during deboarding, commending her for her remarkable effort in an emotionally charged situation. In his post, he also praised IndiGo Airlines for fostering a culture of professionalism and compassion among its staff.
