Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) in Bengaluru has unveiled exciting new attractions aimed at enhancing visitor experiences and promoting environmental conservation. The park now offers a thrilling Leopard safari spanning 20 hectares of lush deciduous forest. This safari ensures a safe habitat for leopards and a secure viewing experience for visitors, featuring robust protective measures such as railway barricades, high chain-link fences, and slanted metal sheets.

BBP, renowned as South India’s first and India’s largest biological park, has a rich history of nurturing wildlife, particularly leopards. The park’s rescue efforts have bolstered the leopard population, with 14 currently housed in the rescue center. This underscores BBP’s pivotal role in wildlife conservation.

Moreover, BBP is encouraging eco-consciousness through an afforestation initiative, offering saplings at discounted rates. This initiative not only promotes biodiversity but also educates visitors on the significance of forests and ecological balance. Karnataka’s Environment and Forest Minister, Eshwar Khandre, highlighted the educational benefits of these efforts.

Further enriching its offerings, BBP has commenced the construction of a skywalk and five new animal enclosures. The skywalk, linking the zoo to the butterfly park, promises visitors panoramic views of the park’s canopy and diverse birdlife, deepening their appreciation of the ecosystem.
