For the first time in India, eight beaches have received the prestigious Blue Flag tag, including Kasargod and Padubidri beaches in Karnataka. This tag is given for protecting the environment, cleanliness and promoting sustainable tourism. It is an internationally recognized criterion, which is given by the Denmark-based Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) based on 33 parameters.

Kasarkod Beach

Location: This beach is located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka.

Kasarkod is known for its calm and picturesque beauty. The clean waters, greenery and calm atmosphere on the coast make it ideal for nature lovers.
