IndiGo has introduced a new feature for female flyers, allowing them to see seats pre-booked by other women during web check-in. This initiative aims to provide added comfort and safety for women travelers.

New Feature for Women

IndiGo’s latest feature gives female passengers the ability to view seats already booked by other women. Available during web check-in, this allows women, whether traveling solo or with family, to choose seats next to other female travelers.

Market-Driven Initiative

The feature, developed after extensive market research, addresses the need for more comfortable and secure seating for female passengers. IndiGo’s goal is to make flying more pleasant for women.

How It Works

  • Web Check-In: Female passengers can see seats booked by other women.
  • Seat Selection: Women can select seats next to other female travelers for added comfort.
  • Pilot Mode: Currently, the feature is in its pilot phase, aligning with IndiGo’s ‘girl power’ ethos.

IndiGo stated: “The feature offers visibility of seats booked by female passengers, only during web check-in. It is specifically tailored to PNRs with women travelers — solo as well as part of family bookings.… (this is) currently in pilot mode aligning with our ‘girl power’ ethos.”
