IndiGo launches direct flights from Pune to Dubai and Bangkok – know timings and frequency
IndiGo on Friday launched two new direct flights from Pune – one to Dubai and the other to Bangkok.
These flights were earlier scheduled to start from October 27, but their launch was delayed and now they have been launched on Friday. These new flights will significantly enhance the international connectivity of Pune, which is now connected to two major global destinations.
An IndiGo spokesperson said that these direct flights are important for Pune’s growing IT and automobile sectors.
The new routes will boost business and tourism, further accelerating Pune’s economic growth. The Pune-Dubai flight will operate daily, taking off from Pune at 5:40 pm and arriving in Dubai at 10:10 pm. The return flight will depart from Dubai at 12:15 pm.
At the same time, the Pune-Bangkok flight will operate three days a week – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – with departure from Pune at 11:10 pm and return flight from Bangkok at 1:15 pm.
IndiGo Global Sales Head Vinay Malhotra said, “With these new flights, IndiGo now operates over 85 direct weekly flights to Thailand from eight cities in India. This move further strengthens our presence in the region.”
Before Friday, Pune had only two direct international flights – a SpiceJet Dubai service and an Air India (formerly Vistara) Singapore service, which started in December 2023. With these new services Pune now operates four direct international flights to Dubai, Bangkok and Singapore.
