Heavy rains have lashed the Konkan region over the past two days, causing significant disruptions to the Konkan Railway services. The continuous downpour has led to soil and trees falling on the tracks near the Diwankhawati Natuwadi tunnel, bringing train traffic to a complete standstill.

The collapse near the Natuwadi tunnel has resulted in a major landslide, covering the railway tracks with rocks and mud. Passenger Assistance
In response to the disruptions, Konkan Railway has announced several measures to assist passengers. Arrangements for food and drinking water are being made at the stations and on the trains. Additionally, ST bus services are being arranged at Khed, Chiplun, and Ratnagiri for passengers traveling towards Mumbai. The Konkan Railway authorities deeply regret the inconvenience caused and are making continuous efforts to restore services by clearing the soil slippage.
