Love is in the air! Video of a young woman proposing to boyfriend at 30,000 feet goes viral, internet divided
A video of a young girl on her knee, proposing marriage to her boyfriend aboard an Indigo flight mid air, has gone viral. Instagrammer Aishwarya Bansal shared the video, writing, “I just proposed in the air,” in the caption.
Proposing marriage to someone you love is not easy. There is lot of anticipation, excitement and a fear of rejection. To add to this adrenaline overload, this is once-in-a-lifetime moment where there are no retakes.
One woman decided to make it really a once-in-a-lifetime moment by doing something extraordinary by proposing to him on an IndiGo flight. Taking to Instagram, user Aishwarya Bansal shared a video of the romantic moment. “I just proposed in the air,” she wrote in the caption.
The video opens with Ms Bansal and her boyfriend, Amulya Goyal, boarding the flight. Seconds later, it cuts to Ms Bansal walking in the aisle towards her boyfriend and the flight attendant making an announcement for the couple. The woman then kneels and proposes to her boyfriend. She also expresses her love and puts the ring on his finger.Â
“Omg, the way I thought it was better than that. I wanted to surprise him in some unique way, and randomly, this idea came to my mind. I was not even sure if the crew would allow it or not, but now you know what happened.” Ms Bansal wrote while sharing the video.

“Manifesting the samee. this is the cutesttt,” said one user. “Please, can you help me how you requested IndiGo to do this? I’m excited to know the process behind this,” commented another.
“Aaisa proposal toh main bhi deserve krta hu (I also deserve a proposal like this),” wrote a third Instagram user. “How sweet is this,” added another.
However, amidst the congratulatory notes and netizens pouring appreciation and the desire to repeat the same for themselves, many have expressed reservations about making one’s most cherished moments public like this. Some others did not like the idea of disturbing other flyers with one’s personal occasions on public transport.
Aishwarya Bansal has 64.3k followers on Instagram, may be that is the reason why Indigo agreed to such an unusual request and even went ahead facilitate it!
