Maharashtra Weather: Temperatures Drop As Colder Days Expected Due to Approaching Weather Systems; See Details
Winter has made its presence felt in Maharashtra, and temperatures are dropping across the state.
Ahmednagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.7 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours, while the maximum temperature in Mumbai’s Santacruz area was 34.1 degrees Celsius, the highest recorded temperature in the state.
Pune recorded a maximum of 29.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 13.4 degrees Celsius.
Cold Likely to Increase in December Due to Approaching Weather System
Anupam Kashyapi, former head of weather forecasting division of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune, said that the low pressure area forming in the Bay of Bengal may turn into a depression. Due to this, its path will change and it may pass near the coastline. This is likely to increase the flow of cold winds from the north to Maharashtra and central India. Especially in early December, the minimum temperature in the state may be 10 degrees or less.
Calm and Dry Weather in the Next Few Days
The Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai (IMD) has not issued any weather warning across the state for the next few days. Calm and dry weather is expected to prevail in the state. Mornings and evenings will feel cold, while the weather will be clear and sunny during the day.
Projected Temperature of Pune and Mumbai
The minimum temperature in Pune is likely to remain between 12 degrees Celsius and maximum 30 degrees Celsius for the next few days. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Mumbai can be around 17 degrees and maximum 35 degrees Celsius.
Be Prepared for Colder Days Ahead
Night temperatures are falling across the state, due to which the cold is expected to increase further. In such a situation, citizens are advised to wear warm clothes in the morning and night.
According to the Meteorological Department, people of Maharashtra can enjoy pleasant sunshine along with cold mornings and evenings for the next few days.
