  • Malegaon was the hottest spots in Maharashtra sizzling at 43.8°C, in the last 24 hours.
  • Meanwhile, Gondia recorded a minimum temperature in the state at 19.4°C.

  • Vidarbha Districts: Brace yourself for thunderstorms and gusty winds (speed 40-50 kmph) with light rain in a few places.
  • Konkan: It’s going to be hot and sticky in some isolated areas.
  • Marathwada: Expect light rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) in certain areas.

Alerts For the Next Few Days

  • Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg: A yellow alert has been issued for hot and humid conditions for the next couple of days.
  • Nanded, Latur, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, and Yavatmal: These areas are on a yellow alert for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) at one or two places on 6th and 7th May.

  • Maximum and minimum temperatures are predicted to be around 35°C and 25°C respectively.

  • As of 1:45 pm on Saturday, temperatures in many places in Pune district were hovering around 39 to 40°C, and they might climb a bit more.
  • According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune, Pune is likely to experience a maximum temperature of 39 to 41°C and a minimum temperature of 19 to 26°C.
