Increase in rainfall activity over parts of Maharashtra

Due to gradual strengthening of westerlies and associated moisture incursion, a gradual increase in rainfall activity is expected over parts of Maharashtra during next 4-5 days. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur over the region during the above period.

Due to these conditions, most districts in Maharashtra have been put on alert for thunderstorms, rain, and lightning. Authorities are advising caution and preparedness for the incoming weather changes.
