More rain in Pune for the next 4-5 days; weather scientist reveals the reasons
Pune, May 11, 2024: There is more rain in store for Pune in the coming 4-5 days. Multiple weather systems are coming together to bring in a lot of moisture over Maharashtra including Pune.
Anupam Kashyapi, former head of weather forecasting division, IMD Pune has said that high temperatures, wind interaction and local instability together create favorable conditions for the formation of convective clouds towards the afternoons and evenings.
He urged Punekars to stay safe and be prepared for the forthcoming weather.

Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai has already sounded an orange alert for Pune for rainfall and thunderstorms on May 11 and 12.
