PMRDA Cracks Down on Illegal Structures and Hoardings Across Pune Region
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) is intensifying its efforts against unauthorised structures and hoardings following the recent conclusion of election duties.
Notices have been served to over 10,000 illegal structures this year, with further cases under investigation. With plans to bolster its workforce and police collaboration, the anti-encroachment department aims to expedite action across nine talukas, starting next week.
Dr. Deepti Suryavanshi, joint commissioner, emphasized that areas near Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limits, particularly Haveli taluka, are hotspots for illegal activities.
The PMRDA has assured stricter enforcement, including the dismantling of hoardings like the recent removal at Hinjawadi, Mulshi. Citizens are encouraged to adhere to construction norms to avoid penalties.
Stay tuned as the PMRDA ramps up operations to ensure sustainable urban development in the Pune Metropolitan Region.
