Mulshi Dam Updates: Water discharge in Mula river at 24,745 cusecs on August 4, to be further increased at 1 pm
Tata Power – Mulshi Dam authorities have revealed that on the morning of August 04, 24,745 cusecs water is being discharged into Mula river through the dams spillway.
In an 11 am press release by Tata Power – Mulshi Dam, Basavaraj Munoli, Head-Dams, Estate & Advocacy Tata Power, Mulshi has said that currently the dam is discharging water at the rate of 24,745 cusecs which will be further increased to 27,282 cusecs at 1 pm on August 04.
The current water storage in Mulshi dam stands at 529.07 Mcum (million cubic meter) which is 92.70% of the dam’s projected storage capacity.

Southern Command, Indian Army revealed that they have been asked to stay on standby by the Pune district administration for assistance in case of heavy flooding and requirement of rescue and relief operations.
Pune is on red alert for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall for 24 hours after which the intensity of rains is expected to subside.
