The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the accused, a 19-year-old driver from Vile Parle, was attempting a U-turn. Ayush, who lived on the pavement near the college with his parents, was playing on the road at the time of the accident.

The young boy sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver fled the scene after the accident, but citizens present at the location attempted to apprehend him. Following a complaint filed by Ayush’s parents, the police launched a search operation and arrested the accused driver.
