Maharashtra: Nashik Airport To Launch International Flights Starting September 12

Ozar Airport at Nashik is set to witness a surge in air connectivity as many new domestic and international flights are scheduled to commence this month.

New Domestic Flights from Nashik Airport

The new domestic flight operations include direct flights from Nashik to cities such as:

  • Ahmedabad
  • Delhi
  • Goa
  • Hyderabad
  • Indore
  • Nagpur
  • Lucknow
  • Bengaluru (beginning September 10, 2024)

The Bengaluru route, operated by IndiGo Airlines, will see daily flights with the following schedule:

  • Flight 6E 6547: Bengaluru (BLR) to Nashik (ISK) – 14:30 to 16:20
  • Flight 6E 6548: Nashik (ISK) to Bengaluru (BLR) – 16:50 to 18:35

International Flights from Nashik

Beginning September 12 2024, Ozar Airport at Nashik will connect to many new international destinations as well. These new international connections will facilitate international travel for the residents of Nashik who otherwise had to travel to Mumbai to catch international flights. According to reports, flight connections to international destinations like Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Bangkok, London, Paris, New York, Dubai, Sydney and Singapore are on the cards. These flights will operate via Bengaluru or Delhi, making it convenient for the residents to connect to the world.

Pune Lok Sabha MP and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Co-operation, Murlidhar Mohol confirmed these developments and expressed optimism towards the future development of Nashik Airport;

Challenges Faced in the Past

Nashik airport has faced many challenges in the past. Some routes like Nashik-Nagpur and Nashik-Goa, have suffered reduced frequencies due to technical issues. However despite the challenges, Nashik airport is now geared up for an enhanced domestic and international connectivity from this month onwards.
