New expressway between Mumbai and Pune to reduce travel time to less than 2 hours; here’s how

Mumbai/Pune: Travelling between Pune and Mumbai is now going to be much faster and convenient. The upcoming connection from Sewri-Navav Sheva Sea Link (also called Atal Setu) and the construction of a new expressway will reduce travel time by 90 minutes, bringing the travel time down to just 2 hours.

Currently, the travel between Mumbai and Pune takes 3 to 4 hours, especially in the ghat sections due to heavy traffic and jams. But, this new expressway, which will be 130 km long with 8 lanes, will solve these problems. This expressway will improve traffic speed and reduce jams. This expressway will save 75 to 90 minutes of travel time, making it faster and more convenient.

This new expressway will provide direct connectivity to important places like Atal Setu, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Pune, Solapur and Satara.
