Not happy with a product or service? Now you can file an online complaint to consumer court through eDaakhil
In an effort to streamline the grievance redressal system for consumers across India, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution has introduced the eDaakhil portal, allowing users to file complaints with Consumer Commissions online. Whether you are facing issues with a product or service, eDaakhil offers a convenient, paperless platform to resolve consumer disputes quickly and efficiently.
What is eDaakhil?
Launched under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the eDaakhil portal is an online platform designed to enable consumers to file complaints with the Consumer Commissions in a speedy and hassle-free manner. This portal also allows users to make online payments for filing complaints, making it a comprehensive and user-friendly tool.
As stated in a press release by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, “eDaakhil is an innovative online platform designed to streamline the consumer grievance redressal process, providing an efficient and convenient way for consumers to approach the relevant consumer forum.”
First introduced on 7th September 2020 by the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, the portal has since expanded across 35 States/Union Territories, with the recent launch in Ladakh in November 2024, marking the final region of India to access the platform. This widespread accessibility highlights the government’s commitment to improving consumer rights and making the grievance process more transparent and accessible.
