Key Reforms in the Revenue Department’s 100-Day Plan
The announcement came during the CM’s review of the Revenue Department’s work plan for the next 100 days. As part of the plan, the state will adopt a ‘One State, One Registration’ policy, enabling citizens to register documents at any secondary registrar’s office, irrespective of their location in Maharashtra.
Technological Innovations in Land Measurement and Data Management
Several technological advancements were also revealed to modernize land management and streamline administrative processes:
- GIS-Based E-Measurement: The state will implement GIS technology for accurate and efficient land measurements.
- Drone Technology: For rural areas, drone technology will be introduced for precise land measurements.
- Land Measurement Centers: The first phase will see the launch of 30 land measurement centers offering services similar to passport offices.
Digitization and Transparency Initiatives
The Revenue Department will digitize multiple services to enhance transparency in revenue administration. A monitoring portal dedicated to tracking the progress of digitization campaigns will be introduced, ensuring data accuracy and public accessibility.
Farmers’ Welfare and Sand Policy Reforms
In a move to support farmers, a special sand policy will be implemented, which will contribute to waiving farmers’ loans. Additionally, the PFI (Public Financial Institution) technology will be leveraged to collect and manage farmers’ data more effectively.
These reforms signify a major leap toward a digitally empowered Maharashtra, where citizens can access essential services with greater ease and accountability.
