Passing Out Parade of NDA’s 147th Course: A Spectacle of Valor and Tradition | View Photo Gallery
The National Defence Academy (NDA) hosted the Passing Out Parade (POP) of its 147th course on November 30, 2024, at the iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground in Khadakwasla, Pune. This ceremonial event, a proud culmination of three years of rigorous training, was reviewed by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Air Staff. The occasion was marked by a grand display of military precision and tradition, featuring 1,265 cadets, including 357 from the passing-out course.
A Ceremony of Honor and Tribute
The parade symbolized the cadets’ transformation into future leaders of the armed forces. The grandeur of the event resonated with military discipline, as parents, dignitaries, and fellow cadets witnessed the march past and ceremonial proceedings.
Following the parade, a solemn tribute at the Hut of Remembrance honored the sacrifices of bravehearts. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh paid homage to the fallen heroes whose names are immortalized within NDA’s hallowed grounds, emphasizing the institution’s legacy of valor and service.
Prelude to the Parade: Cadet Activity Display
On November 29, as a prelude to the POP, a Cadet Activity Display took place at Bombay Stadium. The event showcased thrilling combat and adventure performances by 275 cadets and 38 horses. The demonstrations highlighted the extensive training and skills developed at NDA, embodying the institution’s ethos of courage and excellence.

A New Chapter Begins
Graduating cadets will now proceed to their respective pre-commissioning academies. Naval cadets will join the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala, Army cadets will advance to the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, and Air Force cadets will continue their training at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad. This marks the beginning of their journey as commissioned officers in the Indian Armed Forces, carrying forward the legacy of the NDA.
