More than 75 world leaders have sent congratulatory messages to Prime Minister Modi for his electoral victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. These leaders hail from diverse regions, including Asia, Europe, Africa, West Asia, and the Caribbean. Notable well-wishers include:

Notable Indian Invitees
The Rashtrapati Bhavan is expected to host up to 8,000 – 9,000 people for Modi’s oath-taking ceremony, including prominent figures from various vocations such as lawyers, doctors, artists, cultural performers, and influencers.Â
According to NDTV, ‘Viksit Bharat ambassadors’, including Railway employees working on Vande Bharat and Metro trains, and beneficiaries of Central government schemes, will also be in attendance.
Other special guests include tribal women, sanitation workers, transgender individuals, and labourers involved in the Central Vista Project.
Rat-hole miners who assisted in rescuing 41 trapped construction workers after a portion of the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi collapsed last year have also been invited.
Special mention to the pioneering women employees of Indian Railways.
- Surekha Yadav: Asia’s first female loco pilot, who piloted the Vande Bharat Express between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Solapur. She is among the ten loco pilots invited for the ceremony.
- Aiswarya S. Menon:Â A senior assistant loco pilot of the Chennai Division of Southern Railway, currently working on Vande Bharat trains.
Previous Ceremonies
In 2014, Narendra Modi invited all SAARC leaders, including the then Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, for his swearing-in ceremony. In 2019, the invitation was extended to Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) leaders, representing Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
