Pune: Ban on flying drones, balloons and other arial activity, 14 schools closed due to President’s visit

Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Pune on July 29, Pune District Collector Suhas Divase has announced that schools and colleges in Lavale will be closed from 7 am to 1 pm. This measure is being taken to ensure security arrangements are in place for the President’s visit to the 21st convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International Deemed University.

In addition to the school closures, Collector Divase has also issued a ban on drones, paragliders, balloons, and all types of remote-controlled aircraft from midnight on July 28 to midnight on July 29 across the Pune district. This restriction is part of the heightened security protocol for the President’s visit. Violations of this order will result in prosecution.

The following schools in Lavale will be closed during the specified hours:

  • Periwinkle English Medium School, Sus
  • Dolphin English Medium School, Tapkir Basti
  • Vidya Valley School, Sus
  • Srinivas Pre Primary School, Nanasaheb Sasar Building, Sus
  • Aditya Pre Primary School, Parkhe Vasti, Susgaon
  • Poddar Jumbo Kids, Susgaon
  • Tree House Secondary School, Parkhe Vasti, Susgaon
  • Orchid International School, Susgaon
  • Zilla Parishad School, Susgaon Kaman
  • Sanskarodaya Primary School, Shitala Devi Nagar
  • Little Berries Pre Primary School, Thaksen Nagar
  • Kidzi Pre Primary School, Susgaon
  • Shree Vidya Pre Primary School
  • Dhruva Global School

The parents are advised to reconfirm the list of schools and closure details from the concerned schools for more accurate information.
