The minimum temperature in Pune has risen slightly, reaching 12.5°C, while the maximum temperature stands at 31.1°C. Neighboring cities recorded the following temperatures: Mumbai reported 28.2°C (max) and 20.0°C (min), and Nashik recorded 29.4°C (max) and 13.3°C (min). Notably, Brahmapuri in Vidarbha reported the highest maximum temperature in Maharashtra at 33.4°C, while Nanded recorded the lowest minimum at 7.6°C.
The slight rise in Pune’s temperatures can be attributed to a weakening low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, which has shifted wind patterns. The change in winds has blocked the colder northerly breeze, leading to a gradual temperature increase.
Looking ahead, meteorologists predict that a western disturbance around December 26–27 could interact with current wind systems, bringing possible rainfall to Pune and other parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
