Pune: Expansion of Six PMP Bus Routes to Enhance Passenger Convenience

Pune – In a move aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to expand six bus routes. The implementation of this expansion has already begun from Monday, promising to make commuting more efficient for passengers across the city.

The expanded routes include:

  1. Bus Route No. B1: The Dighi to Bhosari route has now been extended to the Pimpri Metro Station. This route will traverse through Bhosari, Landewadi, MIDC, and Pimpri Depot. With one bus operating on this route, it will maintain a frequency of one bus every 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  2. Bus Route No. 17: The Narhegaon to Swargate route is now extended to the Civil Court Metro Station. Covering areas like Sinhagad Road, Swargate, Shanipar Chowk, and A.B. Chowk, this route will see nine buses operating at a 20-minute frequency.
  3. Bus Route No. 118: The Swargate to Nandedgaon Marg route has been expanded to include Bageshree Society. This route passes through Sinhagad Road, Anandnagar, Nandedphata, and Nandedgaon, with one bus running every two hours.
  4. Bus Route No. 190: Extending from Hadapsar to Vadkigaon Road, this route will now reach Mastani Lake. It covers Shewalevasti, Gaikwadvasti, and Talewadi with two buses maintaining a frequency of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  5. Bus Route No. 356: The Sector No. 12 to Bhosari Marg route is now extended to the Nashik Phata Metro Station. It will pass through Indrayaninagar, Bhosari, and Landewadi with one bus operating every 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  6. Bus Route No. 375: This route, which previously ran from Internity Company (Hinjawadi) to Shivaji Chowk, now extends to Mukai Chowk. The route will cover Rawet, Sameer Lawns, Punavle, and Kolte-Patil Township with two buses maintaining a frequency of 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The PMP administration’s decision to expand these routes is aimed at easing the daily commute for passengers, reducing travel time, and providing better connectivity across key areas in Pune. By extending these routes, PMPML hopes to address the growing transportation needs of the city’s population and improve overall public transit efficiency.
