A large hoarding collapsed in Pune opposite to Gulmohar Lawns in Loni Kalbhor during high winds and rain at around 4.30 pm on May 18.

Two people and a horse were injured when a commercial hoarding collapsed over them near Gulmohar laws in Loni Kalbhor near the Kavdipat Toll Plaza on the Pune-Solapur highway on Saturday evening, due to heavy rains and strong winds.

Bharat Sable (57) from Yerwada, Pune, and Akshay Korvi (27) from Pune were waiting in a tempo when the weather took a dramatic turn and strong winds started blowing along with rain. Suddenly a large hoarding crashed on their tempo, injuring them both. A nearby horse was also was injured in this accident. People immediately rushed and rescued the injured and shifted them for treatment.

Recently another hoarding had collapsed in Moshi, Pune where fortunately no one was injured but there was damage to property.

These incidents bring back the horrific memories of the Mumbai hoarding collapse during a recent storm that killed over 14 people and injured more than 70 people.
