Pune: Khadki Underpass to be widened soon for commuters’ convenience
MLA Siddharth Shirole shared details of the meeting on 14 June with Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and senior administration officials where traffic situation on Pune University Road and widening of Khadki underpass were discussed.
Shirole highlighted the urgent need to widen the Khadki railway underpass near Range Hills. This road has become a primary route, and commuters face daily congestion due to its narrow width.
The PMC has already allocated funds and will be executing the project. The Khadki Cantonment Board and Defence Department have given all requisite permissions. However, the final approval and process are pending with the Railways.
Ajit Pawar acknowledged the request and directed the officials to obtain the pending clearance and expedite the work as soon as possible.
